The My AQHA Idea website is an idea-sharing site for members and future members of the American Quarter Horse Association. We encourage your ideas, and we encourage you to vote and comment on the ideas of others. At this time, we have restricted our idea categories to Horse Showing, Story Ideas and AQHA Membership. Please limit your ideas to these areas.

This website is not intended, nor will it operate as a substitute to AQHA’s rules and regulations regarding amendments to AQHA’s rules. Specific amendments to AQHA rules must still be submitted pursuant to AQHA’s policies and AQHA Rule GEN103.

Opinions expressed by contributors do not necessarily reflect the views of AQHA.

Ideas recommended here are not necessarily endorsed by AQHA.

When appropriate, AQHA will submit viable ideas to AQHA committees for discussion at AQHA Convention each March.

We encourage participation by people of all experience levels; however, we encourage people who are brand new to AQHA to do a little basic reading about AQHA, its governance, its Handbook of Rules & Regulations and its products and services. Learn about AQHA at www.aqha.com. We also suggest you review our Frequently Asked Questions page.

We reserve the right to block specific users that abuse the My AQHA Idea website and/or violate the website policies.

This website is for generating ideas directly pertaining to AQHA membership, showing or publications. Our aim is to keep the My AQHA Idea website informative, thought-provoking and interesting. If your post is not an idea, it might be removed. Your post might also be removed if it is frivolous, chatty, congratulatory in nature or not in the best interest of the website. We reserve the right to end idea topics that, after four to six weeks, do not have significant interest.

The title of your idea post should reflect the content of the post. Do not use a non-descriptive title to draw attention to your post. Responses to posts should be made as "Comment" posts under the original post. Improperly titled or placed posts may be moved or deleted. We also reserve the right to remove posts that contain incorrect information or misinformation.

Posters must exercise good judgment when posting ideas or commenting on posts about controversial or sensitive issues and do so in a reasonable, constructive and non-hostile manner.

Examples of inappropriate posts include (but are not limited to): posts that advocate or suggest illegal activity, posts that contain offensive language, posts that contain personal attacks or "digs" on other individuals or groups, posts of a hostile or vindictive nature, posts that advocate cruelty toward horses and posts that are unrelated to AQHA.

Posts that present the "intellectual property" of another person as though it were their own will not be allowed on this website.

AQHA reserves the right to remove posts containing links to (or advertising for) other sites.

You may not use the My AQHA Idea website for commercial purposes. Commercial sales information or advertisements from, or about, companies and their products (or hyperlinks to these companies) may not be shared on this website. Product promotion or hype are considered to be advertising and will not be allowed. Repeat offenders will be banned.

The My AQHA Idea website is not to be used for spamming. Spam is defined as "unsolicited usually commercial e-mail sent to a large number of addresses." Using this website as a platform for many, impersonal messages qualifies as spam. Any violation of this policy should be reported to AQHA immediately; violators will be blocked or banned.

We reserve the right to remove any posting deemed inappropriate or contrary to this policy.

In the interest of space, posts might be removed if they (1) have remained on the site for an extended period of time or (2) are not generating interest or comments that are meaningful or appropriate.

This policy is subject to refinement and revision.
